Preparing for Your Appointment
Before Your Visit
- Stay well hydrated.
- Avoid alcohol for 24 hours before treatment.
- Avoid blood-thinning medications and supplements (aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil, vitamin E, ginkgo biloba) for about a week before your appointment, as they may increase bruising — if approved by your healthcare provider.
- Arrive with clean skin free of makeup.
- Let your provider know if you're pregnant, breastfeeding, have a neuromuscular condition, or are taking any medications.
After Your Visit
- Keep your head upright for at least 4 hours after treatment.
- Avoid rubbing, pressing, or massaging the treated areas.
- Avoid strenuous exercise for 24 hours.
- Avoid alcohol and excessive heat (saunas, hot tubs, facials) for 24 hours.
- Wait before applying heavy pressure to the treated areas.
- Continue gentle skincare and stay hydrated.
